The second half of the school year is upon us. It always amazes me how quickly the school year passes. The days are long, but the weeks seem to fly by.
As I am writing this we are in our 90th day of school. It feels like we should be in the groove, and well-oiled at this point. However, with vacations and unpredictable weather, we have struggled to complete a full week of school since December. Nonetheless, we are undeterred. Our students and staff are working hard every day at making up for lost time, and doing it with smiles on their faces!
Our CARES program continues to be a success, with 71 of our students being recognized for the character trait of self-control in the month of January. This is a testament to the importance of appropriate behavior and education to the families of South Jefferson. Thank you.
We will be re-instating the bi-monthly newsletter beginning in February. Parents, students and staff have all voiced how important this communication is for the building. I hope to have this out to you all before the Winter Break, which runs from February 20 - 24th.
With Warmest Regards,
